What will corporate cash management look like once Check 21 goes into effect in October? The legislation permits banks to present substitute checks--printed from digital images--for payment, which should speed the check clearing process, reshape cash flows and render useless at least some of the security features on checks. Treasury & Risk Management and Wells Fargo surveyed 376 CFOs, treasurers and cash managers about their views on Check 21 between June 21 and July 9.
