Jeff Wallace is the managing partner of Greenwich Treasury Advisors LLC, an independent treasury consultancy he founded in 1992. The firm's client list of over 250 companies ranges from multinationals, such as Alcan, BP, GM, Hydro-Quebec, IBM, Merck, Novartis and Siemens to public and private middle market companies.
Wallace is an acknowledged expert on U.S., international and Canadian GAAP hedge accounting. He is the author of the FAS 133 chapter of The Handbook of International Finance and Accounting (John Wiley & Sons, 2003), FAS 133 and IAS 39: The Train Has Left the Station (Treasury Management International, July/August 2000), Foreign Exchange Hedging under FAS 133 (AFP Exchange, Fall 2002) and Effective Hedging under IAS 39 (Greenwich Treasury, 2004). He has advised Financial Sciences, FXpress, SimCorp, SunGard and Wall Street Systems on making their FAS 133 systems compliant. Wallace’s corporate treasury experience included being vice president of International Treasury at American Express Co., assistant treasurer at both Dun & Bradstreet Corp. and Seagram. A certified public accountant, he was formerly with Price Waterhouse. Wallace earned an M.B.A with honors in accounting from the University of Chicago and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College. |
