With the first wave of Baby Boomers edging closer to retirement age, all forms of retirement savings are being given a closer look, but none more so than defined contribution plans like 401(k)s, since for most employees they will make the difference between comfortable golden years and any alternatives. This year's annual listing of bundled providers of 401(k)s shows the dramatic growth during the last 12 months in terms of number of plans and dollars. Twenty of the 35 respondents offer managed accounts and all but one provide time-targeted funds.
