Colleen O'Sullivan has been promoted to CFO,treasurer and senior vice president of Career EducationCorp., a $1.9 billion Shaumburg, Ill.-based provider ofpostsecondary education. She succeeds MichaelGraham, 52, who is leaving to become CFO of JMC SteelGroup. O'Sullivan, 45, at right, most recently served as thecompany's chief accounting officer, corporate controller and seniorvice president. She previously worked in senior finance positionsat Hewitt Associates, Sears Holdings and Arthur Andersen.

Big Lots, the $5.2 billion Columbus, Ohio-basedcloseout retailer, appointed Timothy Johnson CFOand senior vice president. He succeeds Joe Cooper,who will concentrate on his role as president of the company'sCanadian unit. Johnson has served as Big Lots' senior vicepresident of finance since July 2011. Since joining the company in2000, he has also served as director of strategic planning and vicepresident of strategic planning and investor relations.

Frontier Communications, the $5.2 billionStamford, Conn.-based phone, Internet and satellite televisionprovider, appointed Robert Starr treasurer andsenior vice president. He succeeds David Whitehouse, who left topursue another opportunity. Starr, 52, joinsFrontier from Lazard Freres & Co., where he was globaltreasurer. He previously served as corporate treasurer at AmbacFinancial and as first vice president of treasury at Salomon SmithBarney.

Nadeem Ali of GreifGreif, a $4.2 billionindustrial packaging company in Delaware, Ohio, namedNadeem Ali treasurer and vice president. Hereplaces John Dieker, who left the company. Ali,42, who's pictured at left, joins Grief from Cummins, where he wassenior director of capital markets and treasury operations. He hasalso served in finance positions at Genentech, Hewlett-Packard,Compaq Computer and Ford Motor Co. Ali was included in Treasury& Risk's 40 Under 40 list in 2008.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, a$1.8 billion Bolingbrook, Ill.-based cosmetics retailer, namedBruce Hartman CFO. He succeeds GreggBodnar, who is leaving to attend to family issues.Hartman, 59, joins Ulta from Yankee Candle, where he served as CFO,chief administrative officer and executive vice president. He hasalso been CFO at Cushman & Wakefield, Foot Locker and MayDepartment Stores.

Spirit AeroSystems, the $1.5 billion Wichita,Kan.-based manufacturer of airplane components, named MarkSuchinski treasurer and vice president of finance. It is anew position for the company; Philip Anderson,Spirit AeroSystems' CFO, previously also handled the treasuryresponsibilities. Suchinski previously served as the company's vicepresident of financial planning and analysis and corporatecontracts.
