Andrew Swiger of Exxon MobilAndrew Swiger, a senior vicepresident at oil giant Exxon Mobil, will succeed Donald Humphreysas the company's principal financial officer on Jan. 1, accordingto an 8-K filing. Exxon Mobil announced last week that Humphreyswill retire in February after 36 years with the company.

Swiger,56, has been a senior vice president and member of the managementcommittee at Exxon Mobil since 2009.

He joined Exxon Mobil in 1989 as an operations engineer andmoved to the downstream business in 1996, serving as generalmanager for a refinery and petrochemical plant in Singapore. He wasnamed vice president for Africa in 2001 and vice president forEurope and Russia/Caspian for ExxonMobil Production Co. in 2003.Swiger became executive vice president of ExxonMobil Production Co.in 2004 and was named president of ExxonMobil Gas & PowerMarketing Co. in 2006.
