Every Year Treasury & Risk Management sponsors its Alexander Hamilton Best Practices Summit. At these conferences, we attempt to collect some of the best and brightest minds in finance today to discuss actual problems they confront daily.

This year's event, which will be held Nov. 2 and 3 at the Millennium Hotel in New York, will be no exception. Besides hearing from the winners of the Alexander Hamilton Awards for excellence in treasury management, attendees will hear from the treasurers of McGraw-Hill, Lucent Technologies and Ford Motor, to name a few.

While this may sound like unmitigated commercialism on my part, I will remind you that qualified finance professionals attend for free.
