Derica Rice will be promoted in May to CFO and senior vice president of Eli Lilly & Co., a $14.6 billion pharmaceutical products provider based in Indianapolis, Ind. He replaces Charles Golden, who is retiring. Rice, 41, is currently the company's controller and vice president. Since he joined the company in 1990 as an international treasury associate, Rice has held various positions, including general manager of the U.K. and Republic of Ireland operations, CFO and executive director for the European operations, and CFO and director of finance for the Canada operations. Rice graduated in 1988 from GMI Engineering and Management Institute, now Kettering University, with a degree in electrical engineering.
