What risks could cripple your company's finances or reputation? That's the question the board of research consultancy RTI International asked senior executives to consider, says Ward Sax, treasurer, chief risk officer and vice president. RTI's top risks include natural disasters, cyberterrorism and chemical explosions. The company's 31 risk managers identified the various attributes of the catastrophic risks and developed scenarios that were then tested, Sax says.
