Visa
has launched Web-based software that provides more details on the transactions that employees make using company credit cards, so auditors can better spot fraud or misuse. Visa IntelliLink Compliance Management's components include a proprietary neural-network system that can score transactions as to likely misuse, as well as analytics and reporting capabilities, according to Visa. Because the solution uses the software-as-a-service model, it can be deployed quickly, Visa says, without special equipment or installation. Companies can access IntelliLink Compliance Management via the bank that issues their commercial cards.

Similarly, U.S. Bank has rolled out a tool to help companies that use its corporate cards spot misuse. The new product, U.S. Bank Payment Analytics, will identify all violations of rules. Companies can customize the product's rules using a number of parameters. If a rule is violated, the solution sends an email to alert the appropriate executive, the bank says.

Wells Fargo says its WellsOne commercial card now allows customers to capture expenses and manage their accounts with smartphones. Commercial Card Expense Reporting is available via the bank's CEO Mobile service. According to Wells Fargo, cardholders can use their smartphones to view charges, make a record of cash purchases and check how much credit they have available, while card program managers can change credit limits and review declined transactions via their smartphones.
