The jump in monthly tariff revenue in recent months has morethan offset declining transfer payments from the Federal Reservesystem, according to U.S. Treasury data.
The Treasury brought in a record $5.551 billion in tariffrevenue in October while deposits of earnings from the FederalReserve fell to $4.541 billion. Last October, customs dutiesreceipts were $3.239 billion.
