Where you think career advancement has gotten easier for women finance executives depends entirely on your answer to this question: Do you now wear or have you ever been a wearer of high heels? According to the first Treasury & Risk Management/ JPMorgan chase survey on career opportunities and gender, male and female finance executives simply disagree on whether women get the same shake as men when it comes to getting promotions in finance–and by a wide margin. Not surprisingly, women are more likely to think they must make more sacrafices to move up the ranks and overcome more obstacles. The survey of 677 finance executive was conducted between Sept. 30 and Oct. 11 2005.
