For the past several years, treasurers have been in the right place at the right time when it came to skill set and areas of responsibilities. Their focus on cash flow, working capital and risk has placed them in the center of corporate strategizing. In our first Strategic Treasurer survey, Treasury & Risk and SunTrust decided to assess how this was adding to areas of responsibility and what constraints were limiting their ability to contribute more. The survey is based on responses from 301 treasurers, assistant treasurers and vice presidents of finance between Nov. 27 and Dec. 12 2006.
