Stuart Booth will resign as CFO, executive vice president and secretary of Central Garden & Pet, the $1.7 billion Walnut Creek, Calif.-based supplier and marketer of pet and garden products, when the company finds a successor. Booth will serve as a consultant to Central Garden & Pet and plans to work with other, non-competing companies as a consultant.

Daniel Houser, 57, CFO and treasurer of International Speedway Corp., the $787 million Daytona Beach, Fla.-based motor sports entertainment producer, was promoted from vice president to senior vice president. Houser joined ISC in 1993 as division controller for its subsidiary Americrown Service Corp. and held several positions before being named CFO last year. The promotion comes as the company announces several executive changes, including the resignation of CEO James C. France, 64.

Samuel Knoch becomes the first chief risk officer of Michael Baker Corp., the $700 million Moon Township, Pa.-based engineering and energy services supplier. Knoch previously served as CFO and treasurer of Tollgrade Communications. Prior to that, he worked as corporate controller and director of internal audit at Amsco.
