Marsh & McLennan Cos., the second-largest insurance broker, said Vanessa A. Wittman is stepping down as chief financial officer to take a senior job at Google Inc.
Michael Bischoff, the vice president of corporate finance, will become interim principal financial officer, the New York-based company said in a regulatory filing today.

Wittman was included in Treasury & Risk's 2009 list of Women in Finance. Earlier, while serving as CFO of Adelphia Communications, she was profiled in T&R's 2005 40 Under 40 list.
