New York State's public pension fund has sued San Diego-basedchipmaker Qualcomm to gain access to the company's records onpolitical contributions, Reuters reports. The lawsuit followsQualcomm's refusal to give the pension fund, the New York StateCommon Retirement Fund, access to its records on politicalspending, according to New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.The $150 billion fund owns $378 million worth of Qualcommshares.

According to the lawsuit, Qualcomm spent more than $4.7 millionon lobbying last year.
