This week Basware introduced another component into itsprocurement software suite: BaswarePurchase. Basware is a Finland-based vendor of procure-to-paysolutions and the Basware Commerce Network, which providesconnectivity tools to streamline collaboration between buyers andsuppliers.

Basware Purchase provides a consumer-style shopping experiencefor employees, facilitating one-click requisitions from approvedcatalogs. The goal is to increase employees' use of the corporatee-procurement solution and reduce maverick spending. The softwareincludes a contract compliance engine, which ensures that purchasesmeet established agreements, and it offers analytics into spending,purchasing bottlenecks, compliance issues, and supplierperformance.
